| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The SonarStep is a wireless rear park assist with a functional support step that installs in a 2 inch or 1 inch hitch receiver. When the vehicle is engaged into reverse gear the SonarStep ?powers up? and scans behind the vehicle for objects in the scanning zones. When an object is detected the driver is notified with audible tones and a visual indication inside the vehicle.

Works great August 31, 2008 This works great with my Sequoia. This device will save you from drilling your bumper or from tapping into your vehicle's wiring. Sensor and receiver works as advertised.
Easy installlation, works well. May 19, 2007 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I installed this on my F-150. It was well packaged and had two sets of adapters for the hitch power. There is a lot of wire that I had to tape up under the truck and attach with plastic ties to keep it from hitting the pavement, but no problem, The connections are solid. The unit seems solid, and does not really stick out.br /In reverse there is a single beep to let you know it is on. As you approach objects it gives you a yellow warning and intermittent tone, I never really got the slow beep and green light. Then it goes into red and steady tone. The LED lights are hard to see in daylight, but the tone is loud and unmistakeable. So far I like it.
Too sensitive May 8, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
It was a very easy install on my Hummer H3, but it was way too sensitive and there were so many false alarms, I took it off.

Easy to install works very well. No wiring required on my 2007 F150 really made it easy.
